Murchison Platter - White.Background

On 28th September 1969 at 10:58 am, near the town of Murchison, Victoria, a bright fireball, was observed to separate into three fragments before disappearing, leaving a cloud of smoke. About 30 seconds later, a tremor was heard. Many specimens were found over an area larger than 13 km², with individual masses up to 7 kg – one broke through a roof of a hayshed and fell in hay.
The Murchison Platters reflect the many coloured rocks that can be found in the Murchison district after this event.
This Platter can be used as a decorator item or to serve salads or your favourite sweets – never straight from the oven or freezer.
Something delightful to enjoy.
